NorseBoats Overseas
Three NorseBoats were recently shipped from the port of Halifax, Nova Scotia to Antwerp,
Belgium in a 40 ft. container. The new NorseBoat owner-agents picked up their boats in Antwerp
and trailered them to their respective homes in England, Denmark and southern France. Congratulations to David Shannon, Lars Diemer and Charles de Bouillane!

Wooden NorseBoat Debut
The first wooden NorseBoat 17.5 was introduced at the Mahone Bay Classic Boat Festival in Nova
Scotia Aug 4-6. There was a warm reception for both the wooden boat kit for amateur construction
and the completely assembled wooden NorseBoat that was on display at the show. During the
show a NorseBoat sailed out to the famous Bluenose II schooner anchored in the outer harbour.
The skipper of the Bluenose II offered the compliment, "lovely boat." We told him his boat was
pretty nice, too.
The wooden NorseBoat will made its American debut at the ever popular Wooden Boat Show in
Newport, Rhode Island on August 25-27. Scott Dagley will be offering technical support and
ongoing workshops for amateur builders at his boat shop in southeastern Nova Scotia. As a
subcontractor to NorseBoat Limited, Dagley's Boatworks will supply wooden NorseBoat kits or
wooden NorseBoats completely or partially built. Click here for more information.

NorseBoat wins Innovation Award
The NorseBoat 17.5 received the Innovation Award for the show's most innovative boat at the 2006
Mahone Bay Classic Boat Festival in Nova Scotia. What makes the NorseBoat so innovative? The
judges felt it was the boat's versatility as a sailing, rowing and camping cruiser and it's blend of
tradition and high tech.
Picture Perfect
New NorseBoat owners Tom White-Hassler and his wife Jane from Newington, Connecticut came
to visit us on PEI to test sail their new boat "Ocotillo Blossom". They enjoyed their visit and the
opportunity to witness the outfitting of their boat. During the test sail the late afternoon lighting
was a perfect photo op for NorseBoat Marketing Director Liza Wendt. Tom and Jane took delivery
of NorseBoat hull #46 completely outfitted with all the options.

New Options
NorseBoat Limited has added two great options for the NorseBoat 17.5:
• Cockpit cushions - These comfortable seat cushions are made from pvc coated closed cell foam. They are configured to completely cover the U-shaped seats and the two rowing thwarts. In the
camping mode the cushions can be rearranged to form a comfortable full size double bed.
• Whole Boat Storage Cover, MkII - A redesigned whole boat storage cover is now available. This
new cover is constructed of a durable yet lightweight material that covers the entire deck. The low
profile cover snaps under the rubrail for a clean, snug fit. It has two adjustable poles to shed water.
The whole boat storage cover and the padded storage bag for the sailing and rowing components
are available in light grey with black trim.
