NorseBoat Wins 2005 WaterTribe
Everglades Challenge In Record Time
Skipper Bob Williams of Marathon, Florida and crew member Scott  Smith sailed and rowed their stock NorseBoat 17.5 to victory in the annual WaterTribe Everglades  Challenge.  The NorseBoat 17.5 came in first overall among four classes of boats in this grueling 300  mile coastal adventure race from St. Petersburg, Florida to Key Largo.  The NorseBoat team finished in a course record time of three days, three hours and nine minutes.   Bob Williams is a NorseBoat Agent for southern Florida.  His location on Marathon Key serves as a  year round NorseBoat sailing center.  This is Bob and Scott¹s second Everglades Challenge win in a NorseBoat 17.5.  In the 2004 event they took first place in Class 4 (sailboats) and second place overall with NorseBoat hull #1.

NorseBoat Displayed At Outdoor Adventure Show In Toronto
At the Advil Outdoor Adventure Show held in Toronto February 25-27, 2005 a NorseBoat 17.5 was displayed as a versatile, affordable camping cruiser. This was the first non-sailboat show NorseBoat Limited has exhibited at, and based on the response the NorseBoat received it won¹t be our last.  Ontario NorseBoat agents Bill and Julie Wickett were mobbed with enthusiastic kayakers and sailors all three days of the event.  Many kayakers looking to move up to a more family-friendly craft view the NorseBoat as the ideal camping and exploration boat, since this beachable, open boat has a fully enclosed camping tent, provisions for a full-size double berth, space for a porta-potti and large cooler, plenty of storage and load capacity, and an optional electrical package with cockpit light and 12VDC outlet for rechargeable equipment.

First Electric NorseBoat 17.5 Explorer
Now Under Construction (for a power boater!)
The first NorseBoat 17.5 Explorer equipped with electric  propulsion is now being built for a customer on Cape Cod.  The customer intends to use it as a tender for his 35 ft. cruising power yacht.  This is the second NorseBoat built for use on a power yacht, and interest is strong from this sector of the boating market.  This NorseBoat 17.5 Explorer will have an electric trolling motor mounted between the skeg and rudder, with the controls in the sternsheets and a battery box located under the aft thwart.  Steering will be with the standard tiller.  This NorseBoat will also have four stainless steel brackets on a sling that secure to the underside of the cockpit coaming and allow the boat to be lifted onto the aft deck of the powerboat by a motorized boom.

Investment Opportunities In NorseBoat Limited Now Available
NorseBoat Limited is now offering three investment opportunities that allow supporters to be actively involved in the NorseBoat saga. "Owner-Investors" receive a great price on a NorseBoat and preferred shares in NorseBoat Limited, with an opportunity to convert to common shares. "Inventory Investors" receive a solid return on a short-term, low-risk investment in a block of five boats being built for inventory. "Flagship Investors" contribute financial support and often expertise in return for common shares in the company. This investment opportunity has the potential for long term growth. Other publicity for this innovative craft includes a test sail report by Charlie Doane appearing in the April issue of Sail Magazine, and upcoming articles in Latitudes and Attitudes Magazine, Small Craft Advisor, Ash Breeze (newsletter of The Traditional Small Craft Association), and Watercraft (UK-based).
