Arctic Mariner Expedition Completed
August - September 2010
The two Royal Marines from the UK went back north to complete their epic arctic journey. In 2009 they sailed, rowed and dragged their NorseBoat 17.5 1400 miles through the arctic’s legendary NW Passage in northern Canada. This year they travelled from Gjoa Haven to the high arctic settlement of Resolute, arriving Sep 2.
NorseBoat LightCraft Kits will soon be available
NorseBoat Limited and Chesapeake Light Craft have partnered to create three affordable, easy to build ply/epoxy NorseBoats: 1) 19.5 ft Norse Faering, 2) NorseBoat 12.5 LightCraft and NorseBoat 17.5 LightCraft. The Norse Faering is hitting the market summer 2011, the other two designs will be available shortly.
We are now offering LightCraft Kits and partially completed standard NorseBoats with pre-cut parts and all hardware for owner building. Complete your boat at home or in our Lunenburg shop with trained supervision.
Small Craft Centre in Lunenburg

The NorseBoat shop at 151 Montague St. in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia is becoming the NorseBoat Small Craft Centre. Activities will include boat building and repairing, new and pre-owned boat sales, retail sales of boat building supplies, and workshop space and other resources for owner-builders.
York Marine To Build NorseBoat 21.5

York Marine of Rockland, Maine will be subcontracting the construction of the NorseBoat 21.5. Mike York (second right) and Company bring a wealth of experience to the NorseBoat program. Designer Mark Fitzgerald (far right) will be assisting York Marine with NorseBoat projects, allowing us to offer semi-custom versions of the 21.5.
