NorseBoat 12.5 Cruiser/Tender
NORSEBOATS
Concept
NorseBoat Sailing & Rowing Cruisers are high performance daysailers with classic lines. NorseBoats are fast and fun under sail or oar (12.5 & 17.5), and their innovative features have earned them the reputation of the Swiss army knife of boats! They can be sailed, rowed, motored, and used as comfortable camp cruisers or picnic motor launches. They are easily trailered and fit in a standard garage.
Design
NorseBoats have signature curved gaff yards or headboards, and lightweight carbon masts. Their heritage is both the open sea boats of the Norse sailors and the seaworthy, partially decked beach skiffs used by fishermen in the 1800s along the New Jersey shore. Blended with this heritage are many design innovations and high-quality modern construction.

Construction
NorseBoats are available with high quality fiberglass hulls and either fiberglass decks (17.5 & 21.5) or modern ply/epoxy/fiberglass composite decks (12.5 & 17.5). A varnished ash cockpit coaming (optional) gives the boat a traditional, elegant look. Owners can choose to assemble their own NorseBoat, either at home or in our Lunenburg shop (NorseBoat Kits).
Standard Components
Each NorseBoat comes with high quality deck hardware, storage compartments, and positive flotation. One or two sets or oars are available for the 12.5 & 17.5. The sail kit consists of a lightweight carbon mast, fully battened mainsail, and Harken hardware. Jib is standard on NB 21.5.

NorseBoat Options include black hull colour, a high quality galvanized trailer, spruce oars & oarlocks, sliding seat rowing units, roller-furling headsail package, lightweight drifter headsail, manual bilge pump, motor mount, tiller extension, and canvas work including spray dodger, sun bimini, camping tent, mooring and whole boat covers, and a padded storage bag for the oars and all sailing components.

Every now and then along comes a new centerboard design that cries to be sailed, rowed, used as a camper, or just looked at and admired. Such a sweet vessel is the 17’6” lapstrake NorseBoat.” Jack Sherwood, Soundings
