NORSEBOAT 21.5

"Absolutely delightful sail...she performs beautifully to weather in chop...no pounding if she’s driven correctly, plenty of momentum to power through waves, surfs on a broad reach with the drifter up!”  Dillon Majoros,

The NorseBoat 21.5

Sailing Cruiser

The new NorseBoat 21.5 Cruiser has distinctly NorseBoat lines and features.  The Open version has a large cockpit and a “doghouse” that provides shelter for a double V-berth.  The Cabin version has interior accommodations with comfortable double berth for two adults and optional quarter-berths for children.

The sailplan is a high performance, easy to handle cutter rig with fully battened mainsail, signature curved gaff yard, pivoting carbon mast, roller furling jib, and optional roller furling drifter headsail.

The ballasted foil-shaped stub keel provides good stability while maintaining shallow draft, keeps the cabin clear of a centerboard trunk, and allows the centerboard to be modest in size and weight.

The NorseBoat 21.5 Cruiser is strong yet lightweight, and has a seaworthy, innovative hull shape with smooth bottom and lapstrake topsides.  The boat has a self-draining cockpit, shallow draft, some rowing capability, and is trailerable and able to be towed with a normal vehicle.

"I’m very interested to learn more about the new NorseBoat 21.5, a boat that shares the same qualities I experienced with my NorseBoat 17.5...elegance, a blend of traditional and modern design, versatility and sparkling performance.  I look forward to seeing all that incorporated into a larger design.  The fleet of NorseBoats will then be complete!”
